It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood—the Galloway neighborhood, that is. Our Battlefield restaurant in Springfield Missouri is located just down the road from this quaint neighborhood, home to a gorgeous park and several local businesses. Recently, the Galloway area has quite a bit of growth, and we’re excited about supporting these new locally-owned businesses. From breweries to boutiques, read on to get acquainted with a few of our new Galloway neighbors.
4 By 4 Brewing Company
Located just across from Sequiota Park, 4 By 4 Brewing Company is all about community. The brewery is owned by four married couples (hence the name) who started home brewing in a garage. The dream became a reality when 4 By 4 opened in late 2017. Now, the brewery is known as a community and family-minded taproom and brewing company specializing in innovative, highly drinkable beer. The taproom, equipped with yard games and a popcorn popper, is a great place to kick back with family and friends. Plus, the dog-friendly porch is a popular spot when temperatures warm up. Our favorite part? The team at 4 By 4 welcomes outside food in the taproom, which means you can grab Bambinos to go and bring it to enjoy alongside a small-batch beer.
This female-owned business has been designing clothes and accessories since 2013. After operating as a successful online business for several years, the Culture Flock crew opened their brick-and-mortar location in Galloway late last year. The store is full of fun trinkets, gifts and locally-designed t-shirts that promote the store’s values: equality for all, being kind to others and having fun every day. No matter what you’re shopping for, you’re sure to leave Culture Flock with a smile on your face.
Great Escape Beer Works
The Galloway area recently welcomed another brewery, Great Escape Beer Works. The brewery is one of the newest patrons of Quarry Town, a new development located near the Galloway quarry. The owner of Great Escape has experience in major beer markets in both Colorado and Washington, and hopes to cultivate an environment that showcases the natural beauty of the Ozarks and the Galloway area. Great Escape offers a variety of classic European-style beers on tap including a German Kölsch, German Altbier, Irish Stout, Session IPA and IPA. Ultimately, Great Escape will offer 14 brews on tap. For now, we’re itching for the weather to warm up so we can spend time in this brewery’s gorgeous open-air space.
Springtown Coffee Co.
Although Springtown Coffee Co. hasn’t opened yet, it’s definitely still worth mentioning. This new coffee shop will open near Sequiota Park within the next few months, serving specialty coffee and espresso beverages, smoothie bowls and pastries. The shop’s opening date isn’t final yet, but we’ll be sure to stop in for an espresso as soon as we can.
Established Galloway Favorites
While new businesses are always exciting, we can’t forget established favorites. We’re just down the road from Acacia Spa, Galloway Grill and Inspirational Home, all of which have chosen Galloway as their forever home. Whether you’re tackling a yoga pose at 2B Well or painting a new household knick-knack at Firehouse Pottery, Galloway is a vibrant neighborhood full of culture and Ozarks heritage. We think that’s something to be proud of.
Bambinos has been a part of the Springfield community for decades, and we’re always excited to see new businesses joining the scene. Come and see us at our Battlefield restaurant in Springfield Missouri, then make sure to head down the road and pay our Galloway neighbors a visit.
