Head Back to School With Bambinos
Could it be? Mid-August is already here, which means one thing: It’s almost time to head back to school. Starting a new school year can be exciting for kids looking forward to hitting the books and for parents ready for a much-needed break. However, adjusting to the school year’s frenzied pace can also be overwhelming. But, there is no need to fret with our restaurants’ back to school tips.
Connect With your Local Schools
We’re proud to sponsor events supporting our local schools all year long. This fall, we’re kicking off our support of local schools by sponsoring Owlapalooza, a spirit event hosted by Rountree Elementary, the elementary school that serves kids near our Delmar location. The event, which occurs Tuesday, August 13, is a great way for neighborhood residents to support Rountree while enjoying activities including bounce houses, live music, a silent auction, and more. Don’t live near the Rountree area? Hop online and do a little research to find out if your local school hosts community activities this fall.
Find Delicious On-the-Go Eats
Did the kids forget their lunch? Maybe you’re a busy parent looking for an on-the-go lunch that will leave you feeling full throughout your day. Look no further than our panini menu. Our fresh panini sandwiches are served on delicious focaccia bread with your choice of Bambinos pasta salad, chips, or fresh fruit. Try the Bambino Panini featuring ham, salami, and mozzarella cheese topped with lettuce, onion, banana peppers, and our zesty house dressing. Or, if you’re cutting out meat, take our Veggie Panini for a spin. This healthy option includes green peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, mozzarella cheese, and – you guessed it – our zingy house dressing. All of our paninis can be ordered over the phone and carried out if you’re on the go. Check out the rest of our Springfield restaurant lunch menu.
Back-to-school season can mean new fall clothes, school supplies, and other necessities. This year, make it a priority to get your goods from local vendors. 5 Pound Apparel, with two locations in downtown and south Springfield, offers a variety of fun back-to-school items including t-shirts and pencil cases. Local bookstores like BookMarx can also be fun destinations for books for the whole family.
Make Time for Family Fun
It can be easy to let family fun fall by the wayside with the kids in school all day.
