First Friday Art Walk
First Friday of every month
Downtown Springfield’s art scene comes alive on the first Friday of each month. From 6 to 10 p.m., more than 24 downtown Springfield art galleries and businesses open for First Friday Art Walk, featuring original art for viewing and purchase, live art demonstrations, live music, local history and cultural celebrations. Our recommendation? Grab dinner at our Delmar location, then head north to downtown Springfield to enjoy the fun. We’re located less than two miles from the heart of downtown, which means you can bike or stroll your way into the heart of the action in no time.
Yoga in the Park
Kicks off April 21; takes place weekly on Sundays
Every Sunday this summer, enjoy the natural beauty of Phelps Grove Park and get your zen on with Yoga in the Park. These weekly outdoor yoga classes are suitable for yoga practitioners of all levels and all ages, which means you can unwind in one of our favorite parks regardless of your yoga experience. All classes are donation-based and led by registered yoga teachers from different studios around Springfield.
Earth Day Cleanup
At Bambinos, we love taking advantage of the Springfield area’s natural resources. Want to get outside and make a difference? Celebrate Earth Day at this annual cleanup of the James River and Lake Springfield. Participants can help out with a shoreline cleanup, while experienced paddlers can clear trash and debris from a 4.75 mile section of the James River from Crighton Access to Southwood Access.
Artsfest on Historic Walnut Street
Calling all budding art collectors: Artsfest is the largest fine arts festival in southwest Missouri featuring more than 120 artists from all over the country. Artsfest is, of course, all about the art, but guests can also enjoy performances from dozens of entertainers, a hands-on kids’ area and much more. For Springfield natives, Artsfest is often seen as the start of the spring season, and what better place to enjoy the sunny weather than on gorgeous historic Walnut Street?
Mother’s Day Festival
You already know that we’re big fans of craft beers here at Bambinos. We love supporting local breweries, which is why you’ll likely find our staffers hanging out at Mother’s Brewing Company on May 18. Every year, Mother’s hosts their birthday bash during the weekend following the real Mother’s Day. And every year, the celebration shapes up to be one of Springfield’s jolliest events. The event includes live music and all kinds of beers on tap, including new specialty releases. Even better, the event takes place in Mother’s Backyard, the green space behind the brewery, allowing guests to enjoy a healthy dose of Missouri sunshine.
