About BambinosSpringfield's family-owned Italian restaurant serving authentic cuisine since 1998
Our Story
Springfield is home to two Bambinos restaurants. Our original establishment is nestled in the Phelps Grove neighborhood at the Delmar location. Meanwhile, our second location opened in 2015, situated at the intersection of Battlefield and Lone Pine.
The Original Bambinos
Our Historic Delmar Location
From Corner Grocery to Cafe
According to local lore, our building originally served as a corner grocery during the 1930s, when cars weren't king and neighborhoods were walkable communities.
A New Urban Oasis
While Springfield sprawled with auto-oriented development, Bambinos became a beacon of the new urbanism movement—a place that feels both off the beaten path and right in the heart of it all.
Walk, Bike, or Drive
However you arrive, you'll find a place to truly relax and connect with the community that makes Springfield special.

Historic Half A Hill Shopping Center
A Century of Stories
This location has roots dating back to 1920, when Lone Pine was still a dirt road and Half-a-Hill was famous for dance halls and fried chicken.
Rebuilt from the Floods
The original Half-a-Hill was lost to massive flooding in 1978, but the spirit of community gathering lives on in our modern location.
